Passports and microchipping

By law, all horses are required to have a passport by the end of the year in which they are born. This requires a microchip and a record of your horse’s individual markings.

Many of the drugs we use require your horse to be ‘signed out’ of the human food chain. Please present your passport at the time of treatment so that this can be done or, if you would prefer not to, then all medication must be recorded, and certain drugs such as phenylbutazone (‘bute’) cannot be given.
